I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at VersaCall Technologies (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2021
Interview
Got an email right away from Director of Business Development to set up about a 30 minute call.
It’s for the Customer Success Manager position and the description asks for a lot of sales and even when I received the response email to interview the opening states “thanks for applying to the inside sales position..” I thought that was interesting considering it was for CSM which Is very different from just sales but I figured best to go with the description of the job posting.
What the interviewer wanted was completely opposite of the description. She stated she would rather have someone not do sales at all but have current clients love them. Interesting bc I feel you can do both as a CSM more or less partners with the client to enhance their use to your product.
I also don’t think the CEO would be thrilled with that but I also don’t think this person has done a lot of interviews or has a complete understanding of what a CSM does. Was a very nice person she just isn’t on the same page with whoever wrote the job description or doesn’t understand?
I haven’t been asked back so I’m sure
I didn’t get the position and that’s ok. Just make sure you speak of only customer service even though the description says very different.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VersaCall Technologies

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at VersaCall Technologies (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
I applied online through LinkedIn and was contacted for a phone interview within a few days. After phone interview was scheduled for a face to face interview at their office. Owner kept saying that no one every leaves the company, but the 2nd person I interviewed with said there is high turn over in sales. As proof of this, the position I interviewed for was filled, but then I saw it listed again 2 months later.
After the face to face I was told I would be contacted in a few days to possibly take a sales assessment test, they thought I would be a good fit. At this point the owner became very hard to reach. When I did get him live he told me he was still in the process of making a decision, which I understand. But after 3 weeks I got a short email on a Sunday saying he had gone with someone else, very unprofessional in my opinion.
As stated by the employee review I think this would be a difficult place to work and I am glad I did not get the position.
