VersaCall Technologies interview questions

Got an email right away from Director of Business Development to set up about a 30 minute call. It’s for the Customer Success Manager position and the description asks for a lot of sales and even when I received the response email to interview the opening states “thanks for applying to the inside sales position..” I thought that was interesting considering it was for CSM which Is very different from just sales but I figured best to go with the description of the job posting. What the interviewer wanted was completely opposite of the description. She stated she would rather have someone not do sales at all but have current clients love them. Interesting bc I feel you can do both as a CSM more or less partners with the client to enhance their use to your product. I also don’t think the CEO would be thrilled with that but I also don’t think this person has done a lot of interviews or has a complete understanding of what a CSM does. Was a very nice person she just isn’t on the same page with whoever wrote the job description or doesn’t understand? I haven’t been asked back so I’m sure I didn’t get the position and that’s ok. Just make sure you speak of only customer service even though the description says very different.
