      Customer Experience Specialist Interview

      4 Oct 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verizon (Dallas, TX) in Sept 2015

      Interview

Was contacted by recruiter via email 2-3 weeks after applying. Proceeded to a telephone interview which was more formal than expected, situational questions, verification of resume credentials etc. Contacted by phone very quickly after that for in person interview with store manager. This was conducted by the general and assistant. The general manager made 2 negative comments about my previous employer (NOT a competitor company either!) and this really set a downer tone for the interview. The general manager was expressionless and doesn't seem approachable. They made me feel like I was making a bad decision for taking a pay cut and kept asking why I was leaving my last job. I had relocated for personal/ family reason. They did not sell the position but rather spoke about how slow the store is overall and how small the DFW market is. (?!?) Similar situational questions were asked and be prepared to speak about the Verizon products, they gave me one in particular to study.
