      Atlanta, GA
      No offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Veracode (Atlanta, GA) in Jul 2025

      Interview

I was a bit late to the interview process as they had 2 solid candidates further along. Unfortunately, they offered one of those 2 candidates the role and thanked me for reaching out.

      Sales Director Interview

      28 May 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Veracode in May 2025

      Interview

Multiple cycles started in Sept 2024, interrupted by several sales team "reorgs". First interview cycle should have been the only warning flag - hiring manager was an interview no-show/no explanation, but I applied for another job in January anyway. Fast forward to January, I interviewed for a named accounts role, spoke with hiring manager, then the sales engineering manager. Req was put on hold for several weeks following another sales team re-org. Fast forward to May, Veracode was finally ready to move forward, but with a different role led by a different team manager. Went through the steps to interview, was asked to present a 306090 plan. Great, the panel was engaged, got a few questions, no trouble answering. All seemed positive. Next business day, I was rejected citing a weak reason that was only mentioned one time in one interview, and it was a passing question. The focus of this role was expanding business with the end clients, not managing a channel relationship. Had that been important, they should have highlighted channel as a priority. They did not. Many hours were wasted preparing for interviews and the 306090 deck. The panel presentation premise from the recruiter, "Prepare a territory plan using PowerPoint that outlines your strategy for the first 30, 60, and 90 days in your assigned territory. Focus your presentation on how you plan to expand business in your account base and what metrics you'll use to guide you there. There are no right or wrong answers, the idea is to better understand your thought process on how you'll approach your territory." There might not have been any right or wrong answers, but it appears a minor plan omission is totally disqualifying. The entire exercise wasted both mine and every participants' time. Caveat Candidatus.
