Series of phone/Skype interviews. Initial call was with recruiter, where she asked my current salary. When I asked about the salary range of the opportunity before I answered, she gave me a range at least 25% lower than what I was making. Said I'd most likely not qualify to move on; said she thought hiring manager would consider my salary if I was the "right fit." And then the games began. First video/phone interview with hiring manager. Lasted 30 minutes, asked my salary requirements which I provided. Set up next phone screen with "customer experience manager" or something like that. Moved on to the 'culture' interview, where I was asked questions about management style to see if I was the right 'culture fit'. Moved on to another video/phone interview, and then on to case study presentation. Apparently passed, and had phone interview with VP North America. Just prior to meeting, hiring manager again asked for my salary requirements, which I provided. 45 minute conversation, VP was disengaged, distracted and disinterested. Received a form email indicating they went with another candidate. When I asked for feedback from the hiring manager, he said they went with the candidate who was 'a little better fit'.
One week later, the position was re-posted. While the larger Veeva corporation appears to have its act together, it's OpenData operations in Ft. Washington is a clown show.
