I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors in Jan 2022
Interview
It's through a program where you have to record yourself and they give you a few minutes to prepare an answer and then record yourself. They have you take a personality-type quiz at the end. The part of the interview where you need to prepare a lesson plan makes sense but is also difficult to do over the program they have. If there was an actual person and over zoom where you can use a whiteboard, then it would be easier.

Question 1
Please prepare a lesson plan with one of the subjects you are interested in teaching
I answered questions about how I would respond to various teaching scenarios in real time. The interviewer was a Bot, which surprised me. The Bot gave validating feedback throughout the interview. I wasn't sure if that was a good sign or not, thinking the platform might do that in any case. But I got hired.

Interview
Didn't even complete the interview. I expected it to be a normal one-way interview, but it was a conversation with a talking AI bot. I closed out of it immediately.
Makes me wonder what else they are using AI for in replace of actual employees.
