I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (New York, NY) in Feb 2021
Interview
30 minute interview with internal recruiter. Then
40 minute high level chat with engineering manager who made a recommendation for a tech interview.
40 minute tech dive with 2 engineers - rapid fire then rest of interview dealt with React questions and coding. I apparently didn't do as well as I thought. I did tell the recruiter from the start that I was no expert in React, but it would seem that was miscommunicated to the interviewers. They were nice, but I think they expected a certain level of proficiency that I simply don't have yet as we don't use it in my current role.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2021
Interview
Started with call with a recruiter. Asked me what I was most experienced in as far as to frameworks. Wanted to ensure I had experience in using React. The second was with the Engineering director. I wasn't asked anything that had to do with front end. I was asked some weird questions I have never been asked before as a front end developer.
