I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Vantage Data Centers (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2026
Interview
A recruiter with the company reached out to me on LinkedIn and the first was a screening interview. This was the first of a total of five interviews. Throughout the full month, the recruiter was timely and engaged with me within 2-3 days as to the next steps. The final interview was a lunch meeting with the team, and we did not discuss the role further. (I let the team take the lead on that.) After the lunch meeting, (which seemed to go fine), I was ghosted. I followed up the first time, and though the recruiter responded a day later, they told me I'd have an answer in the coming week. Another week passed so I made one final attempt to follow up with the recruiter. No response. No explanation. Crickets. Not even a simple "no, we've moved forward with another candidate". This was certainly unprofessional by most standards, but also unkind and disrespectful after having put so much energy and effort into the process. If anything, I dodged a bullet, as this does not reflect well on the company whatsoever.
