Shortlisted for face-to-face interview.
Was contacted through a conventional phone call in the middle of office hours while I was in the middle of a meeting.
I had attended over 10 job interviews in the last 3 years. This is the first time I was notified of a shortlisting through phone call for a Tech role. lol
HR Staff asked sensitive questions which goes against MOM guideline and was extremely insistence that I reveal my base salary through a vocal phone call. I kindly suggest to omit answering and finally remind him that it is against MOM guideline to enforce applicant to reveal last drawn salary information.
He then responded: Thank you for the time and ended the call.
My humble advice:
1.I have over 5 shortlists in the last 2 days to manage while working full time. Its really not just about you and your prestigious role.
2. Its 2022. To shortlist someone, next time bring technical assessment to challenge my credential then we talk.
3. Chill and dont be angry over every small disagreement. You will hurt your body over the long run. Take care mate.
I wish good luck to that bro who attended me.
