I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Van Vreede's (Appleton, WI) in Feb 2016
Interview
Very informal. Very few job related questions. Wanted to know how many children I have. They did 90% of the talking. They said they do all of their hiring based on "gut instinct." Strangest interview I've ever had. They never asked for references, and I found out that is standard practice there. No reference, background or drug screening. Just hiring based on a "feeling."
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Van Vreede's (Appleton, WI) in Jan 2009
Interview
Interviewed. Ask when a decision would be made on hiring someone was told one week. Stopped back in within a week and was told another week. Called within a week to asked if any decision has been make yet and was told no, ask when she expected a decision would be make and told two weeks. Just prior to two weeks I stopped in again and was told again no decision yet but I was still being consider for this job. This when on for over two and half months and I went in a saw her again and again for she kept telling me I was still being consider for this job. The last time I when in, just prior to talking to the manager, that I saw someone I had previous worked with there and was informed by her she had just started two day prior.
Didn't say anything to the manager that I know her new hire but asked if I was still being consider for the job in which I was told once again yes. I wish she would have been more honest with me so I would be wasting my and her time, not to mention my gas traveling 27 miles there and 27 miles back home to get the job dance from her.
