I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Van Rooy Properties (Lincoln, NE) in Mar 2025
Interview
My application was quickly responded to, I was invited to an in person interview the next day. Interview was with Regional Manager and Property Manager, was professional and friendly. By the end of interview I was encouraged to move forward yet I was hesitant as I wanted to check with my family as to the level of responsibility I would be taking on in the role. I was respected for that honesty and told to reach out with questions. Ultimately they moved on to other applicants and it was best for me as I recognized this wasn't a good fit. So, I feel I was given an offer for the position and declined as I wanted more time to vet questions, which resolved in them moving on to other applicants.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Van Rooy Properties (Indianapolis, IN) in Aug 2015
Interview
I was interviewing for a property manager position. It was a laid back environment, which let me be more myself in the interview. I interviewed with the regional manager and vice president.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Van Rooy Properties (Indianapolis, IN) in Oct 2013
Interview
I had one interview with a Regional Property Manager and have a second scheduled with him and his boss, the company owner. The company seems very laid back, people were wearing khakis and jeans with polos and I even saw a few t-shirts and hoodies. Everyone was friendly.

Question 1
N/A, we mostly just chatted and I asked him more questions than he asked me. This was in part due to me having a great reference that he personally knew. Talking salary was a little awkward because they start people at about 10k less than I want to make but he's willing to work with me on that.
