ValueCare (Netherlands) interview questions

Had to take a 'pattern recognition' test - that had little to do with the actual job - before any conversation took place. I was put into a small room without a clock first thing in the morning, where I promptly failed the test because I misunderstood the wording on the easiest questions. I understand maximizing hiring efficiency, but talking to someone first might give you a better gauge of their actual intelligence and aptitude.
