I applied in-person. I interviewed at Valu Home Centers (Buffalo, NY) in Jan 2024
Interview
I applied in person. The interview was in-store with two managers and was an easy-going conversation. Took around twenty minutes. General questions about availability, flexibility, and hours. They were clear you didn’t need prior experience with hardware/electrical/plumbing as long as you were open to learning.

Question 1
Where do you see yourself in six months to a year?
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Valu Home Centers
Interview
The interview was scheduled shortly after turning in the application. It was a relatively brief conversation with standard interview questions. Seemed like an easy going environment with good management and it was. Discussed availability, pay, training, start date, relevant experience, what I was looking to gain if employed there. Management is easy to talk with and flowed more like a conversation than an interrogation.

Question 1
Does your availability fit with what we are looking for at this time?
Quick and easy, asked good questions about my high school schedule. Managers that were interviewing me were very nice. Had to take a quiz during the interview on personality types.
