I applied online. I interviewed at VUS English Centers (Ho Chi Minh City) in Jun 2026
Interview
Submitted application online and was contacted by HR to do an online interview. Prior to interview, I was required to prepare an hour lesson plan from a student book to submit before the interview. I spent a considerable amount of time with it, detailing each stage of the lesson, activities, etc. Interview process began with discussing with HR the company, expectations of the role, and a few basic questions about myself. The second part of interview was with one of their academic quality specialist who asked me questions about how I would handle certain situations that may arise in the classroom (ie. classroom management), teaching philosophy/method, etc. We did not really go through the lesson plan I prepared, though, I think they reviewed it prior to assess your ability to create a thorough lesson plan.

Interview
Supportive, friendly staff with clear demo guideline. They give me step-by-step instruction on what we should do in the teaching demo, which is great. I highly appreciate the fact that they explicitly explain what they are looking for an ESL teacher.
