      I interviewed at VMRay

      Interview

The overall experience did not fully align with expectations for a senior-level process. The tone of the interview felt more interrogative than exploratory. A considerable portion of the discussion focused on my previous role transitions and why I was moving between related marketing functions, despite having prior experience in the exact department they were hiring for. The questioning felt repetitive and placed disproportionate emphasis on perceived career shifts rather than on capabilities, strategic thinking, or impact. Additionally, the scope discussed during the interview differed from the job description. The role appeared to carry a significant operational focus on event execution, which was not clearly emphasized in the original posting. I received a rejection without additional context or feedback.
