Round 1 - Veterinary Emergency Group (Parisa - Benefits Data Analyst)
The interview began with a discussion about my passion for healthcare, influenced by my upbringing in a family of medical professionals. I highlighted my experience in data analytics, ensuring data integrity, and proficiency with Tableau for visualization. We also discussed alignment with the company’s mission, its growth challenges, and its focus on customer service in emergency situations. The conversation felt confident and engaging, with positive feedback on how I presented myself and my knowledge of specific company locations, like Warwick, Rhode Island.
Round 2 - Veterinary Emergency Group (Gulia - Benefits Data Analyst)
This round focused on the nature of work, primarily involving Excel-based data management with manual updates and adjustments. The interviewer emphasized the company’s rapid growth, adding 25 new locations annually, and the need for someone who can work independently and ask insightful questions. An Excel problem-solving task was introduced as part of the process, and performance on this task determines advancement to the next round.
Challenges and workload expectations were discussed openly, and I shared my background and responses to related questions. Despite a minor mismatch on a specific issue, the conversation was overall positive. The interviewer valued common sense and data analysis skills, even from candidates with diverse experiences
