I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Upside in Jun 2020
Interview
The interview process was interesting and although I didn't get the position I got great experience interviewing with this company.
I was contacted by a recruiter through linkedin, then I was sent a coding assignment, which was fairly easy: 2 coding tasks of easy level and 4 questions about QA processes. After that I had a video call with one of the CEOs. On the call he showed me a simplified architecture of their services and asked me how would I test it. It was much better than asking me general questions. In addition to that we went through my resume starting from education section.
Then I had 4 video interviews scheduled instead of onsite interview, one of the interviews was a coding problem where I failed.
On the third day after the interview I got the response, the interviewer called me and personally delivered the bad news. Overall I liked the company and people with who I had interviews.
