The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Universal Capacity Solutions (Arlington Heights, IL) in Jan 2019
Interview
I applied online and was taken through a series of 8 steps. Step 4 is a preliminary phone interview and what turned out to be a waste of time. A woman from Nashville called me and began to fire off a round of questions. She wanted to know what the name of my high school was . What town it was in. What my 1st, 2nd, 3rd jobs were. Keep in mind my first job was 20 years ago. Not sure what relevance my teenage job history has but apparently it was important enough for her to make me rack my brain and try to remember. Turns out the import coordinator position I applied for was not in Illinois but instead was in Detroit. She said it was an error on their website that needed to be fixed by I.T. She then went on to describe the position they are hiring for in Schaumburg which is a warehouse export position that pays $17 an hour. I learned this information 28 minutes into the call. A complete waste of my time. They need to loosen up on their vetting process. I have never had to go back 20 years in my history for any job I have ever applied for especially for that low of a pay rate. I What a joke. The fact that the job posting I applied for wasn’t real was an omen of sorts. Definitely a poor first impression.
I apologize for the delay in response, and we thank you for taking the time to submit the review. We also apologize for the issues regarding the job availability and location. We have taken steps to correct, and once again we sincerely apologize. Thank you for bearing with us!
