I was recommended for this position by an internal employee. Never applied myself. After the referral it took Unity 2/3 weeks to first reach out to me. The recruiter sent an automated message “thanking” me for my interest in the position with no mention at all that they were reaching out because I had been recommended for the job. They then sent a time slot suggestion for an interview, but since I couldn’t take it I reached out again and asked to please suggest at least 3 alternatives and mentioned by availability timeframes. The recruiter then asked in which region I was based, to which I replied the same day. After that I heard not a word for over two weeks and then suddenly again an automated message (no apology, no reference to my last email) asking to block a meeting in the recruiter’s calendar. By this time I was honestly annoyed and rejected the invitation. Can only recommend Unity to make its recruiting process more human in the future. Also to differentiate between actual applicants and recommended candidates. If you want to attract talent you have to do much better than just being Unity.
