I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Minnetonka, MN) in Aug 2015
Interview
I have heard that interviews and the recruitment process take a LONG time at UHC. Within an hour of submitting this particular job request I received a call from the recruiter and a request for a video interview. You have a few moments to "showcase" your personality through a series of a few questions and have to have a smart phone or webcam to do so. Your responses are timed and you only have so long to complete them, but you can start over. Next is a phone interview with a recruiter. She asked really general info about previous positions and a couple "give me a time when" questions. She said it sounded like I would be a great fit and she was forwarding me on with high regard. Finally a week or so later I was contacted to set up an interview. I had the interview which was 2 HOUR LONG interviews. One was with a manager and senior UW. The manager called in from another location. The questions were pretty standard questions, almost all GIVE ME A TIME WHEN...SHOW US HOW YOU... HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH? The second interview was with the director of UW and another manager on the phone. This manager seemed flaky. What was worst is that they asked the SAME QUESTIONS. Really? If you feel it is necessary to interview someone for 2 hours straight and 2 diff interviews then at least ask diff questions! The WORST part about UHC is that unless you are called for an offer you have NO IDEA why you did not get the job. I never got a call back. About a week or 2 later I rec'd a standard reject e-mail. I found out later the person who took the job did so for much less than I could have, which may have been a factor.

Question 1
Have you ever dealt with a difficult agent? What was the scenario and how did you communicate?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Minnetonka, MN) in Jan 2011
Interview
The Managers didn't how to conduct a interview. I talked the whole time and they only seemed interested in if I spoke about whats going on outside the insurance world. Note to yourself- there are many positions and roles out there in the world. If you go to an interview where the people interviewing you- act like they are in high school and you can't hold a intellectual conversation with them, take it from me a good employee who has suffered a great deal under immature managers- Don't take the job- you will regret it and then you will be stuck with those Bad managers or team til you are allowed to try to move in 12 months.
