Unitary (UK) interview questions

Fairly straightforward interview process. All the people I met were nice. However, after the last interview with the Engineering head, I was told that I will definitely get a response regardless of whether I was selected or not. This didn't happen. Unfortunately, this seems like a pattern. Someone else had reported the same thing here. I had to chase the recruiter multiple times to get the response. Also, there was no clear reason given for moving ahead with another candidate. They spent more than a week contemplating on the decision and didn't bother to give a response to me. Doesn't bode well with the culture when the Engineering head assures you that you'll get a response and they don't follow up on what they say. This is quite concerning as more often than not you get a response regardless of whether you were selected or not.
