I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Unison (Omaha, NE) in May 2022
Interview
Fairly simple and they do two to three rounds which may include a role play. Seamless and the recruiter interview is fairly straightforward. I would say at most it is average in terms of difficulty but definitely not super difficult in terms of the process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The typical questions regarding your background and why you’d be a good fit.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unison (West Palm Beach, FL) in Oct 2021
Interview
First interview was with a Recruitment Manager. Very typical and standard screening interview where they ask you about your background, why you want to work in sales, why you want to work with Unison, as well as answer any questions.
For the next interview, they give you a mini-project where you have to digest their homeowner guide as thoroughly as possible to then perform a mock call with an SDR manager and an Account Executive. Before the call they also ask you more granular sales related questions, why you’d be a good fit for the role, what your work ethic is like, what you want out of a team, etc.
I did fairly solid on the mock call. It’s a lot of material to digest in 48 hours so I had some slip ups but nothing that couldn’t be accounted for in training before you start taking actual calls. Overall the interview went well, and I built solid rapport with the two team members. I felt rather excited and optimistic after the call.
Where my interview process left more to be desired was after 5 days of radio silence, I get a very standard rejection e-mail with no feedback as to why I wasn’t selected. I understand that with such a high volume of candidates it’s a lot to ask for to get feedback but the rejection just felt so cold, cut-throat, and impersonal.
My overall experience was neutral. The format was organized and people I spoke to friendly. I really liked the company, culture, and product so the rejection was disappointing and the style of rejection left a bitter taste in my mouth so in the end, the whole experience was neutral at best.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We sincerely value the time that you've shared with our teams and are glad that you enjoyed meeting everyone. I'm sorry that this was not felt in our last communication. It can be difficult for us to provide individual feedback when managing higher volume positions, but we are working on improving upon this. Thank you again for your interest in and time with Unison. If you have any additional thoughts for progress, please email us at people@unison.com.
