As a seasoned product leader, I recently interviewed for the role of Principal Specialist - Vyapaar Products at Udhyam Learning Foundation. Initially, I was intrigued by their mission and excited about the opportunity to contribute to their vision. However, my experience throughout the interview process left much to be desired.
Firstly, after completing a written assignment in the initial round, I diligently followed up with the hiring team for updates. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, I never received any response or acknowledgment of my candidacy. The lack of communication was disheartening and reflected poorly on the organization's professionalism and respect for candidates' time and efforts.
Furthermore, while I understand the importance of assessing candidates' skills, the written assignment required an extensive amount of effort without sufficient context or engagement from the interviewers. This approach not only felt impersonal but also failed to provide a meaningful opportunity for mutual assessment and discussion.
It's worth noting that the salary offered for the position was well below the market level for someone with my experience and expertise.
Overall, my experience with Udhyam Learning Foundation's interview process has significantly dampened my initial enthusiasm for joining their mission. I hope that the organization takes steps to improve their communication practices and ensure a more respectful and engaging interview experience for future candidates.
