Doesn't matter how much of a resume you have. Doesn't matter if Uber user's use software you've written. They still want bozos who do gimmicks on HackerRank rather than people who can write real software end to end. Disappointing. I'll take my value elsewhere I'm appreciated and can actual do more than tricks and gimmicks.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (Pittsburgh, PA) in Sept 2015
Interview
Interviewed at UberATC. Very fast-paced process. Smooth, concrete, the best I have ever had. Email, phone call, online interview questions, phone call, onsite interview. Very qualified and caring HR, exceptional technical interview team. Very challenging questions that make you think and think differently. Technical and methodological questions. Focused on the problem and solution alternatives, very concrete but also open minded. Discussion with lots of attention to detail. No micro-frying, though. Absolutely awesome. Very receptive team. Great offer, great people, fantastic goals, worth it.

Take home assignment followed by a day of one on one interviews. Most of the interviews focused largely on past projects from my resume, while a couple were whiteboard problem solving sessions. The interviewers were also great about answering my questions, and were open to share the exciting work going on at Uber. Overall a very pleasant and exciting experience.
