The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Senate Judiciary Committee (Washington, DC) in Feb 2010
Interview
This was probably the most fun interview I've ever had. I was called for an interview not long after I submitted my application, and I was given instructions on the day, time, and place. They sent a follow up email to confirm. I ended up being interviewed by two staff members for roughly 20 minutes. I got very good vibes from the staff immediately: it seemed like a fun, relaxed, but serious place to work. They had thoroughly read my resume and asked me very detailed questions, but in a curious (not grilling) way. It was a very positive interview experience, which lead to an even more positive work experience.
