US Embassy in Egypt interview questions

Interview did not start at the specified time. The other candidate and I were kept waiting for over an hour. Interestingly the other candidate seemed to know everyone at the Embassy and was being greeted by all. Finally the interview starts attended by the interviewer and an HR representative. The interviewer was courteous and friendly. Interview seemed to go fairly well although questions were quite general and of the “what’s your biggest flaw, your biggest failures/successes” etc variety. While I relit the interview went well, my biggest critique is that no one had the decency to follow up through phone or even email to say sorry but we went with someone else. Very disappointing and expect more from the US Embassy on professional protocol that dictates there should be at least a response to any applicant/interviewer.
