I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Army (Louisville, KY) in May 2011
Interview
Simply went to a recruiter and they helped me with the process, which required an ASVB test and physical. They will also do a height and weight on each individual to ensure the candidate meets the physical requirements. During this process, they will help set up an checking account with automatic deposit if needed.
Easy, MEPS was the most difficult part, especially the medical portion. The paperwork part was easy, most of the interview was complete prior to going. Questions were basic and non-threatening.
