I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at US Air Force (Springfield, MO) in Jun 2012
Interview
There really is not an interview process. You go to the Recruiters office, sign up, your parents have to sign as well if you are under 18, then you go to MEPS and go through all of the medical physicals and tests, including hearing and vision, and then if you are accepted you will pick a certain amount of jobs that your ASVAB states you are qualified for and then wait for the recruiter to call you when you have a job. You will have to meet with the recruiter a certain number of times a month.

Interview
All you have to do is Take the ASVAB Pass the physical exam Pass a background investigation And you are in. No telling what job you’ll get til you’re done with all that
Simple and easy to understand. The recruiter did a great job going over expectations, training, and next steps. I feel really prepared for the future. I recommend giving the military a chance.
