Interview
You might be invited for a written test, which could be technical one, testing your field expertise. Following there is often a competency-based interview, where your soft skills such as planning & organising, communication, etc. are assessed. You should prepare real examples from recent past experiences that highlight how your competencies help overcome a challenge or make you learn a lesson.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at UN-HABITAT (Nairobi)
Interview
Interview was like a conversation, asked pretty standard questions (unexpected situations, what makes me different than other candidates, etc). Was put in contact with another person after the interview to start learning more about a project, so it was an informal acceptance during the conversation.
Following a written assessment focused on knowledge and expertise relevant to the position I was applying for, the recruitment team help a virtual interview more focused on my personal experiences and capabilities.
