I applied online. I interviewed at UK Atomic Energy Authority in Dec 2022
Interview
I had 2 interviews. The first interview I had to give a 10 minute presentation on “What interests and excites me about this opportunity”. This followed on with some technical questions and project management questions relating to resource, waterfall and agile methodologies and general competency based questions. I was interviewed by two people and the interview lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. The second interview was a lot shorter and one of the interviewers was different to that in the first interview and we discussed some projects that I had worked on and delivered. The interviewer asked questions relating to quality and again resource management. These interviews took place in December 2022 and I still have not heard back from the talent acquisition team at UKAEA even after countless amounts of chasing. The application is still “In Progress” on the portal but UKAEA’s tardiness on replying concerns me about this organisation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you talk me through a time you have had to deal with a difficult person that was working on your project. How did you react and what did you do?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at UK Atomic Energy Authority (Culham, England) in May 2025
Interview
Applied online through LinkedIn. Received a simple screening call followed by an invitation to interview at Culham. I was instructed to prepare a 10 minute presentation on 'The challenges of a matrix organisation and managing change'.
My interviewer on the day changed from who I was told it would be due to another department wanting to interview me instead. There were three individuals, one of whom was remote. The interview as relaxed, pleasant. Interviewers accommodating and enthusiastic. Several behavioural and technical competency questions after the presentation as well as questions about what I presented.
I was told the last interviews were being done and will be wrapped up by the end of the next week.
It's been well over a month and I've not heard a thing. I've attempted to chase up though at least 5 different channels and all I get is radio silence. Extremely disappointed.
