Interview
First round of interviews is on Zoom, where the employer asks a series of questions about experience and knowledge in several science fields. The second round of interview is in person, I was asked to give an hour-long presentation about my research projects, followed by individual interviews with members of the lab, lastly with the principle investigators.

Interview
Interview was great and easy. We just talked about my research experience and the work being done in the lab I was applying for. Nice conversation and super nice people! They made me an offer and wanted me to start working before I had an official offer, red flag immediately. Didn’t hear back from them for over a month, called UCSD HR multiple times about my offer, they still wanted me to wait a few weeks but wanted me to start working before I had an official offer. I had already interviewed and started another job a couple of weeks before and they were mad I didn’t say anything when they went weeks before contacting me. Very slow process, much lower pay than biotech.
