      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Twilio (Bengaluru) in Feb 2021

      Interview

I applied through their website and the very next day I got an email from TA partner with a set of assignment which was supposed to be completed within 3 days. I completed that in a day and sent my response, and the very next day I got an email saying I'm through that round and I was scheduled a zoom interview with the HR which went for 25mins and then I had another round of interview with the Hiring manager which lasted for about an hour. And then I was again scheduled with 3 of marathon rounds with 3 different people which was basically a technical+behavioral rounds. Interview was quite casual and well scripted. The interviewers got the best out of me and the vibe was so positive. Absolutely loved the interviews and definitely had the hopes as the interviewers gave me a positive vibe. However, I haven't heard back from the HR team yet. Have heard that the HR team does take too much time to get back to you with the feedback for whatever reason. Have sent a follow up email to the HR yesterday but there's no response from them yet. I'm ghosted at this moment. Just waiting for the HR team to get back to me with the feedback.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio (Bengaluru) in Aug 2021

      Interview

I applied through referral and surprisingly got a call just 30 minutes after I forwarded my profile. Recruiter-1 called me and told they take referrals very seriously. Recruiter-2 scheduled a call for next day with the hiring manager, wasn't an interview just a discussion about the role, they joined 20 minutes late. Recruiter-1 sent me a take-home test, which I had to solve in 2-3days, Recruiter-3 asked my availability for scheduling manager round interview, they scheduled and also sent some interview preparation material. Round-1: Went well but I knew I could have done better, after this round I didn't have high hopes. But recruiter-3 got back saying it's a good news and they wanted to schedule 4 more rounds. Round-2: I had prepared very well after the first round was not that great. I was able to answer all questions. Round-2: went on pretty well not as great as round-1 but highly positive. Round-3: leadership round, from my perspective it went well the interviewer was happy but the feedback says this is where I lacked. Round-4: Bar raiser, I didn't have much idea about this, whatever was available online didn't help. Overall it went average. Overall I had hoped I have done fairly well. I pretty much aced the technical rounds, the leadership rounds could have been better, but I didn't perform badly by any standards. So I was hoping I could make it through. Now here comes the worst part: Recruiter-1 mails me looping in recruiter-4 and asks for availability to schedule a call. Recruiter-4 scheduled a call: And ... They scheduled a video call to let me know that I wasn't good enough. Why did recruiter-1 bring in a new person just to break the news? He could have told me that himself on the mail/call or at Max could have scheduled a call himself. Introducing me to a new person who then scheduled a video call to let me know I was rejected was not polite.
