I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Turo (New York, NY) in May 2018
Interview
Interview process is long, but easy and laid back. Starts with recruiter phone interview, then manager phone interview. If you pass those they send you 3 claims to work and send back, then schedule and in person interview (about 3 hours long!). If you pass those they ask for references and then offer/no offer. For being a progressive company I was surprised by the standard, old school interview questions (which most ppl answer in ways that fit the job) but the case studies are a new and good way to show your skills! Everyone is easy going and fun to talk to!

Question 1
When was a time you disagreed with a superior? What happened and how did it go?
Would a friend say you are most likely to: give a speech at a wedding, help someone after an accident, become a librarian, or join a team sport? (something like that)
Spoke to rep over the phone first then moved on to in-person with 2 separate people. A bit intimidating but ok in the end. People I interviewed with ended up being my supervisor and director. Nice people
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Turo (Scottsdale, AZ) in Jan 2019
Interview
Turo has several interviews , HR, then manager over the phone. If you pass those two you come in for 4 additional in person interviews that takes 2 hours or longer.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Turo (Scottsdale, AZ) in May 2018
Interview
Very detailed and lengthy. They want to insure that they hire the right people for the job. You start with 2 phone interviews, one from the recruiter, then a manager. You then do an assessment online involving claims scenarios. Then you go for an interview in person. This takes about two hours. You interview with a claims associate, a claims specialist, do another assessment, and then interview with the hiring manager.
This seems a very laid back work environment, but they take their work very seriously. It is a company that clearly cares about its employees and wants them to succeed. It also is a company that wants to make sure they hire the right people in a very thorough and involved process.
