      Senior Technical Recruiter Interview

      12 Apr 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Turo (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

Incompetent recruiter who I unfortunately had to deal with, and couldn't even have a relevant conversation about their hiring process to give me insight into whether or not I would be a fit for them. She is the most unprofessional recruiter I've ever come across, supposedly the first recruiting hire for the company. Everyone else on the interview panel (primarily leaders) were nice, but their interviewing techniques were inconsistent. How do you assess an interviewee's fit if the feedback you're gathering yourselves has no process or consistency to it? This is what happens when you put an incompetent junior recruiter in charge of your hiring process, who has no experience with using data/metrics to streamline your process. I turned them down and glad I did.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How do you hire engineers? (How ridiculously vague) The only question asked in the span of 45 minutes. The rest of the time was spent on telling me what they did in their job.
