Recruiter called from career builder. Did phone interview, then face to face interview with recruiter and head of HR both, then interviewed with the not so great VP of member services to happily end the interview process. Then the real fun begins. They do a drug test, the most in depth background, job and reference check I've ever seen or heard of in my life. Aside from a blood sample and bank statements, they couldn't have asked for anything else. The process took three to four weeks from application to official start date.
Word of caution: after my hire, I saw countless people get extended offers, put in two weeks at their current employer then have the deal fall through. So they were jobless due to this long process and sometimes lack of communication.
I had an employee get declined a job due to a $200 collection item for a late cell phone bill. They are VERY conservative in their hiring. And quick to fire. What a combo, right?
