Question 1
Questions about my past projects, as well as related technical details about neural networks, model training and DL related questions. A question on maximum-likelihood. The second round is coding, asking me to write K-means and some optimizations with numpy operations.
Ghosted me after the interview!! I would recommend to avoid the company.
I noticed it is their common practice. Others reported the same experience. I followed up with them. Never replied.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TuSimple in Sept 2021
Interview
I applied through LinkedIn without an employee referral. Then, Cindy (HR) contacted me through email and showed me some videos about TuSimple to make sure the position matched my interest. It is a three-stage interview without OA for this position.
Firstly, I had a phone coding interview with MingDong (senior software engineer). I did not come out with the optimal solution at the beginning. But, I liked the reaction of the patient interviewer when I came out with the optimal solution later. Then, Dustin (HR) informed me to schedule the next interview within three days.
Secondly, I had a phone project interview with Long Sha (senior deep learning engineer). Before that, Dustin and Erin (HR) told me what I would face in this interview and helped me pass my presentation slide to the interviewer. I had a good conversation with the interviewer, and the interviewer was professional. Then, Dustin (HR) informed me to schedule the next interview within two days.
Finally, I had a phone project/team-matching interview with Panqu (hiring manager). This might be the most difficult one of the three interviews. The interviewer is very professional. Then, Erin (HR) informed me to schedule an interview discussion within three days and then got the intern offer.
Overall, the recruiter team is very professional, and they responded to my questions actively.
