My first interview was with a recruiter. The next was a phone interview with the Hiring Manager then a round of Skype interviews with three leaders in operations. The interview with the Hiring Manager and the panel were all behavior style questions. Tell me about a time you faced a challenge, etc.
The recruter(s) I talked with all gave me great feedback and when I made it to the Skype interviews the recruiter said if I made it that far it was a very good sign. At the end of the day, I didn't get an offer and I think the recruiter was shocked. When she told me the reason why it was clear to me that they were not looking for a leader but rather a project manager. Even though that's not what the position Job Description stated, I feel that they may have not been clear on what they were looking for out of the role.
Overall the experience and process was pretty good. I just wish the Hiring manager was more clear on what they were looking for because I would have emphasised that project management side of my background more.
