Submit application to online blackhole. Receive invite to interview. Travel hundreds of miles for a half hour interview. Typical vibe check verbal assessment. Nothing special, average, boring, and no real interest in capability. Small town good 'ol by system of using the competitive hiring process to hire nepo. Ghosted afterwards with no thanks for attending.
