I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tray.ai (London, England) in Jul 2021
Interview
Last week, I was contacted by recruiter saying that their Manager asked him to contact me because the work i was doing looks extremely related to what Tray.io is looking for.
I had my first interview with the Manager. My experiences are with Cypress automation framework. However, the company has blanket banned Cypress. Asked me if I am aware of Cypress has so many open security issues in Github. I have learned that they will never use Cypress in the future . It became very clear they had not reviewed my experience at all.
Another question is if I know any core programming languages. I said I know Ruby, Javascript and Typescript. The manager’s definition of core programming is languages like Java or C#.
I was asked if i know testing levels. I gave a through answer (component testing, component integration testing, system testing and acceptance testing). The response was my answer is wrong and showed me the pyramid with (unit, integration and UI). I said i was saying the same thing.
