I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Travelers (Hartford, CT) in Mar 2021
Interview
The interviewers were very passionate, and made me feel very comfortable during the interviews.
I applied via a referral, and then had two 45 minute interviews, one behavioral and one technical.
The behavioral interview was pretty standard, "tell me about a time where you". I talked about my strengths, and why I wanted to work at Travelers.
Technical interview was not your standard coding interview. I talked about my technical experience and projects. I also talked about how I like to stay up to date with technology, and how I take on learning new things. The only technical question was how to reverse a string, and I just had to talk through the solution, not actually write anything down.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
Tell me about a time where you were stuck on a problem, and you had to use outside resources to help.
It felt just like a normal interview. You sit in front of two directors and they ask you pretty typical behavioral questions. Tell us a time you x, what made you want to get into leadership, and what would you do if x. They may ask you about your specific experience so be prepared to answer.
