Interview
The actual interview process was lovely: very fast, easy questions, and conversational in tone. There were three interviews in the process, and I felt like I made a great, human connection with all three interviewers. However, this is a small startup and that reflects in their communication style. More than once they got back to me after the timeline they laid out in the interview, causing undue stress. Following the final interview, the hiring manager failed to reach out to me at all until I prompted him with an email. Not a company that respects your time if you aren't their perfect candidate.

Applied through the company portal and was sent a take home challenge for creating a simple full stack app. The first interview was a basic behavioral interview and the second one was a interview contained questions about the app and prior work experience.
