Interview
I had originally applied for an HR position with TransUnion-Chicago in November 2016. I had a phone screen with one of the recruiters and was then scheduled to speak with the hiring manager. About a week later I received a phone call from the recruiter (this was early December) saying that the hiring manager had decided to go with another candidate with more HRIS experience. I was then asked if I was interested in a newly created position and the recruiter talked about what the new position would entail, and that she would send me more information regarding the role. I told her I was interested in the position and was then scheduled to meet in-person with the hiring manager mid-December. The interview went well and I was told the next day that the hiring manager would like me to meet with the rest of the team. We had set a date/time for me to meet with 3 people from the team but unfortunately had to reschedule because 1 of the interviewers had to work from home. The interview was then scheduled for after the winter holidays in January. Once again, the same interviewer wasn't able to make it to the interview, but I was able to interview with the VP and another person from the team. The interviews went well, and I followed up with the recruiter to express my gratitude and appreciation for her time and giving me an opportunity at another role. Up until now, my experience with the whole process was wonderful. I was told by the recruiter that she would need to schedule a skype meeting with the last person and I sent my availability...now this is where it goes sour. I never heard back from the recruiter, I waited a week before I reached out...still nothing. A month goes by, still nothing, I reached out one final time and never heard anything back. This was really surprising considering how responsive she was and how well the interviews had gone. Not sure if they already had someone else in mind for the position and wanted to make sure they interviewed someone else for the position as to not get into any trouble, but still disappointing to hear NOTHING back.
