I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TransMarket Group (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2025
Interview
first round was standard greenbook questions asking mainly on combinatorics, some math question finding rate of change of distance between two points, a question about futures. second round asked more about bet sizing in a game and how you would change bet size depending on how game change.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You are playing a game with one other person. If the person rolls a dice and gets a 1, he wins. If he doesn't roll a 1, you can roll a dice and if you roll a 6, you win. If you don’t roll a 6, it goes back to the person. What is each person’s probability of winning the game
4 rounds, first three on phone and fourth in person. First two rounds were technical, third was behavioral, and the fourth was a superday. Overall, it took about two months total, which felt a little long.

Question 1
Mostly probability questions, with a few finance ones thrown in
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TransMarket Group in Dec 2024
Interview
1st Tech: Starts with behavioral questions about resume. Then basic Math questions (Calculus, Combinatorics) and then some finance questions (option delta, spread arbitrage).
2nd Tech: Betting question, stochastic/markov/recursive questions, and then dice roll probability. Followed with some market intuition questions (make sure to stay up with current events).
Overall the questions were pretty chill while there is a higher emphasis on market knowledge (Not sure if this is bc I have prior experience). The second tech I made 2 small mistakes but overall got all questions and thought I did better than the first one. Regardless, I was ghosted after being told I'd hear back within a week. Super unprofessional and just rude.
