      Marketing Interview

      23 Sept 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Trainline (London, England) in Aug 2022

      Interview

Amateur and poorly managed process An email to confirm interview / set call time The woman didn't call (so i emailed to check) - she replied saying 'sorry something came up and rescheduled) The phone call took place. The interviewer hadn't even seen my CV which was a little odd. She spoke about 80% of the time so it didn't really feel like an interview. However, went well except for my salary expectations, however I said that I was more interested in the total package v just the salary and asked her to keep me in the process. 2 weeks later I'd heard nothing back. I email to ask for feedback. Still no response. Finally a month later get an email to tell me my salary was too high (despite me saying that it wasn't an issue for me). Really gutted as I would have loved this job and think I was literally a perfect fit
