I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Trafigura (Singapore) in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview with HR was technical. Asked quite a few operational based scenario questions and threw in a surprise math question in the middle. Throughout the interview, the HR did not open the camera so you are more or less talking to a blank screen

Question 1
If you were a vessel operator, what are your concerns or what do you need to look out for if there is escalating geopolitical tensions?
The first-round interview went well overall. It was a 30-minute call with HR and focused mainly on technical and industry-related questions rather than my CV. I was asked about how Trafigura makes money, the risks of transporting crude oil, and some logic-based questions. The interviewer was professional but kept the camera off, which made the conversation a bit less personal. I managed to answer most questions confidently and kept my answers structured and concise. Overall, it was a good experience and a valuable insight into Trafigura’s expectations.
