It was for the holiday season so they pretty much hire anyone that can stagger in the door. I gather they hire anyone that passes the background check, and they hold out the carrot of keeping you on after the season, but this doesn't really happen very often.

Group interview. You have to tell a bit about yourself, then go into the store, pick a product and "sell it". Very easy interview. Lebron James in the greatest of all time.
