I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Toyota North America (Phoenix, AZ)
Interview
I applied on Indeed and was contacted by a sales manager who set up an interview. This was my first time going in, and I ended up waiting for most of the hour, but everything sounded promising. The manager said he wanted to schedule another interview with the main decision-maker, so I went back a second time. After that meeting, I was told I was being offered the job — which I was excited about.
I turned down other opportunities because I believed this was a solid position with great commission potential. I went in a third time to complete paperwork, and we even scheduled my orientation for the following week. I was also instructed to call The Cole Group to complete a background check, which I did — a quick 30-minute process.
Tuesday came around, the day of my orientation, and about 15 minutes before I was supposed to arrive, I received a text saying the job “wasn’t going to work anymore.” No explanation. I tried reaching out and was told to call the recruiter for details, but he never answered or returned my calls.
Overall, Camelback Toyota wasted more than two weeks of my time, along with the gas and long drives back and forth. This was extremely unprofessional and disappointing, especially from a company affiliated with Berkshire Hathaway.
