Toptal proposed scheduling the next meeting, and didn't follow through. Then, despite the conversations we had had, I received a form rejection email. Especially for a recruiting firm, I found the entire process strange and someone unprofessional. It was unclear what their requirements for the role were or what they were looking for -other than someone who would be comfortable working on a remote/virtual basis.
