      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Toggl in Jun 2022

      Interview

The beginning assessment was using their Toggl Hire platform that was a test to basically assess basic skills. The next step was an in person interview with talent acquisition asking basic questions regarding the role and then also seeing cultural fit, which was very important to them. Last step was an interview with team lead to go over basic skills relevant to the role.

      Interview

"I applied on LinkedIn. Process took approximately 3 weeks. The interview process was totally different to what I'm accustomed to. They did not care too much about what was on my resume. Their focus was on my skillsets. The process consisted of 5 stages, (Skills test, Asynchronous video, Cultural Interview with HR, Technical Interview and Test week.) The skills test consisted of some open ended and multiple-choice questions designed to test my skills and knowledge about particular situations relating to the job. Some of the questions were a bit tricky and required more thought than others. The Asynchronous video was the next stage and here I had to answer three questions in approximately 21 minutes. Some of the questions were designed to see how you would handle certain situations relating to the job. Each answer had a limit of 2 minutes approximately If I'm not mistaken. What I liked about it was that if I messed up, I get the extra time to redo the video. The Cultural interview was fun as I got to learn a bit more about Toggl's culture and they got to learn a bit more about me, my experience and aspirations. The next stage was the technical interview. Here I had to do a mock sales call with the team lead. The one thing that I'm glad I prepared for was objections. You also get feedback right away. Had really good feedback so I got email about two days after inviting me to the final stage, the Text Week. The final stage was the test week where I got to interact with the team for three days and learn a bit more from the potential team I would be working with about their experiences. This stage is designed to see how well you would get along with the team. Here I also had to do some research and prepare a presentation which I had to present based on the actual work I would be doing as an SDR. After this stage about two business days after the Test Week I got an offer letter which I accepted. "

      Interview

We had a conversation over video call, where I was encouraged to be human, myself and honest. I was these things, and the interviewer spoke very positively about moving me forward before several days later sending my rejection email. I requested further feedback to understand what my profile lacked - maybe if I'd been too honest - but I received nothing. A company that claims to treat people like humans left me feel like I was just another number compared to their other candidates.
