Was an absolute pleasure chatting and corresponding with the recruiting team who initially reached out. Having interviewed with a fair amount of companies recently, I have to say they are pros in their response time and actually keep you updated. The hiring manager I met with unfortunately seemed to have made their mind up prior to the interview. They were done asking their questions with over 20 mins left of the allotted time and was in a hurry to leave. It’s a two way street, I get that time is valuable but as a candidate you spend hours doing prep and research just to find out you didn’t have a chance at all. Body language, terse responses, lack of questions outside the basic ones and finally, no “next steps” or “timeframe” were dead giveaways. Again, I would wager that a decision or candidate was already made ahead of time. Kudos to the recruiting group for being rockstars and at least informing me of the decision. Wish more companies would copy that!
