Interview
By far the weirdest thing I have ever been apart of. A large "pop-up" event with about 30 of us at once. The first thing they did was show us they had craft beer on tap lol. Felt like I was at a Frat party. 2 managers interviewed me: one was for behavior and the other was a mock sales call. Felt like I was speed dating sitting at tiny tables with my peers around me all interviewing at the same time in a large room. One manager (very young guy) told me that they don't like to "use their management roles to put others down" but within the 10 minutes of talking with him he must have told me he was a manager at least 20 times.
Overall, kind of a mess. The workers seemed very fake and robot-like. I was uncomfortable and I am the most outgoing person I know.
Does not matter if you have a lot of restaurant knowledge and sales knowledge, I can honestly say I have no clue what they are looking for... maybe I didn't get the job because I don't like craft beer? A message to Toast: College is over :) xo
Thanks for sharing! As we pilot new initiatives, feedback like this is always helpful. I’m sorry that this experience left you feeling uncomfortable. We will keep this in mind for future talent pop-ups. - Mike Brown, VP Talent

Interview
It started with a third recruiter messaging me on LinkedIn. She did a phone screening, then set up an interview with an inside recruiter at Toast. It was informational and mainly informal. The second interview was a role play phone interview, where I prepared a sales pitch and sold it. The third part was face to face; I interviewed with two managers and a current BDR. It was an amazing experience!
